About the Bitumen Compound
Bitumen Compound is a viscous, tacky lubricant of natural bitumen blended with mineral oils that coats and penetrates wire rope to cut friction and lock out moisture. Its stringy, water-resistant film prevents rust and internal wear, extending rope life economically. Applied during manufacture or in service, it keeps the rope's strands moving freely and shields the core from corrosion.
