About the Bow Shackle
The Bow (Anchor) Shackle has a wider, rounded body than a D-shackle, letting it take loads from multiple directions and accommodate several sling legs at once. Forged from high-tensile carbon or alloy steel, quenched, tempered and hot-dip galvanized to a 6:1 safety factor, it suits multi-leg and side-loaded rigging up to 85+ tonnes. The generous bow makes it the right choice whenever loads are applied at an angle.
